Exams

It's exam season again.

Exams have always been a source of anxiety to most young people (correction: people!) and the return of this old friend will no doubt bring mixed emotions.  Some young people may welcome being able to demonstrate what they have learnt, while others may be dreading the whole process.

It can be a stressful time for many young people and the sheer amount of exams that many of them take in a short space of time can be nothing short of exhausting.

We've collected together some resources which might help your group navigate this season and help you as leaders support young people as best as you are able (passing them notes during the exam isn't on the list though!)

Top tip

Before diving into our resources, remember that your group may be the only event outside school and revision that your young people attend during this time. With that in mind, perhaps keeping the next few weeks low-key, and as much of an oasis during the exams desert as you can would be beneficial.

You know your group best, would they benefit from a safe space to explore their stress? A relaxed environment without exams even mentioned?

Don't be discouraged if attendance drops a bit during exam season, but ensure your group know you're there for them and cheering them on however they feel they have performed.

Perfect for Christian students who will be facing exams this year. It aims to encourage young people to keep their eyes fixed on God as they revise for exams. During times of stress, it's easy to let God slip down our list of priorities. Bible study and prayer can become optional extras, rather than essential. These studies aim to help young people appreciate that through studying God's word, God can encourage us, strengthen us and prepare us to serve Him even when we're studying. CLICK HERE for more.
