Hope for Every Home focuses on the local, providing everyday ways to support churches and individuals to share the love of Jesus with their neighbours, friends and communities. One of the ways in which they are doing that in 2021 is to encourage people to walk and pray around their neighbourhoods. Prayer walking is a fantastic way to help young people view the needs of the communities through different eyes and to engage them in prayer but it might seem a bit daunting or even 'weird' if you've never done it before. Never fear, Hope for Every Home has written some sessions especially for Energize to help young people explore the idea that prayer is not only an anytime, anything conversation it's an anytime, anywhere conversation. There's also an introductory Bible study that helps children and young people explore prayer through the story of Samuel.
The Oikos Outreach App allows you to tag where you have prayed, cared and shared the love of Jesus with people. You can tag your street, road, lane, home...it starts wherever you are. The tags are saved on the app. You can see where you have been and where others have been too.
In this Bible study (which is adaptable for different age groups) we explore what we can learn about prayer from the story of Samuel.
