Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to pray for young people today. We believe firstly that God listens and takes an interest in our cares, and secondly that there is no one who cares more for young people than Him!

Young People and Identity

Perhaps now more than ever, young people are grappling with the question, "Who am I?" and how they go about answering it carries great significance. Our identity affects how we interact with others, how we make decisions, and how we view the world. As you scroll through this page, we invite you to join us in praying for this generation as they search for meaning, belonging and purpose.

As you listen to this song, thank God for making you in His image and pray that young people would be introduced to this truth in their quest to discover themselves.

Jesus said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you don’t really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don’t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow my own agenda but to accomplish the will of the One who sent me.

Imagine young people running to Jesus and being held by Him, eternally. Let this be your prayer for the young people you know and have connection with.

Hold an "Encounter Your Identity" prayer session:

If you lead a group that might be open to prayer, set up some zones around your space where young people can explore, pray and encounter God through practical activities. Here are some ideas for zones:

Create a playlist of life-giving songs, and make headphones available (or encourage young people to bring their own). Encourage them to write down anything that stands out to them from the songs they listened to.
Invite them to write an encouraging letter to another member of the group, perhaps listening to what God might want to say to them. Hand out the letters at the end.
Create a zone with leaders available to chat or pray with young people. You could call it the "encouragement seat" - anyone who sits in the chair will receive some encouraging words. You may want to pray for the young people in advance and speak prophetic encouragement to them when they sit in the seat.
Write "Made in God's image" in the middle of a large sheet of paper and encourage the young people to write, draw or paint anything that comes to mind when they read the statement.
