There were Shepherds living out in the fields near Bethlehem, keeping watch over their flocks at night. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven the Shepherds went to Bethlehem to see what had happened. The Shepherds then returned home glorifying and praising God for all the things they had seen, which were just as they had been told.
