Energize helps you to lay sound foundations with creative activities, craft ideas and Bible stories.
Working with Five and Six year olds can be immensely rewarding. These are children who (mostly) still know how to be children and haven’t yet decided that everything you suggest is either boring or un-cool! They will generally be enthusiastic about a whole variety of activities. Children of this age will, for the most part, be in the first couple of years of school - although if you live in Scotland they may not have started school aged 5, depending on the admission policy of your group. If you have children in your group who are not yet at school, you may have to think carefully about how you enable them to be a part of the group. Children who are at school have some general ideas about discipline and participation already instilled in them.
