'Thy Kingdom Come' is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray, between Ascension and Pentecost, for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.

What started as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in 2016 to the Church of England, has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.

In 2022, 'Thy Kingdom Come' will take place from the 26th May to 5th June.

The theme of the first session in each age group is 'Visible Signs’.  The aim of this session is to help children and young people understand what we mean when we pray 'Thy Kingdom Come' (Matthew 6:10) and allow them to engage in prayer more meaningfully.

The theme of the second session is 'Heart Warming' and the aim of the session is to explore how the Holy Spirit warms people's hearts so that they are more open to the love, goodness and knowledge of Jesus.  It also encourages children and young people to pray for people they know who haven't encountered Jesus before and to look at how, practically, they can enable their friends to have the opportunity to hear about Jesus themselves.

This is a great opportunity to engage young people with prayer and to help them know that they are praying alongside not only people in their own nation, but across the world.  So, in addition to ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ Energize sessions, we've also collected together some other useful resources to help young people understand and connect with prayer.   Click here for more.
